Shadows Fall & Five Finger Death Punch To Tour the UK
In September 2008 (the evening I was supposed to go on holiday to be precise), Shadows Fall were supposed to headline a show at the Islington Academy with London. Also on the bill were to be Cry For Silence, Exit Ten, and relative US newcomers Five Finger Death Punch. Unfortunately, this tour was cancelled (reportedly so Shadows Fall could get more money supporting Avenged Sevenfold in Canda, if that is true, all I can say is boooooooo lol). I was very disappointed by this as I have been a big Shadows Fall fan for years, and aside from 2 very brief appearances at the Download Festival in 2005 and 2007, I have never managed to see them live.
I am rather pleased to find out this evening that Shadows Fall and Five Finger Death Punch are once again teaming up for a UK tour, the dates listed below:
- Nov. 24 - Wolverhampton, UK - Wulfrun Hall
- Nov. 25 - Glasgow, UK - Garage
- Nov. 26 - Manchester, UK - Academy 2
- Nov. 27 - London, UK - Electric Ballroom
- Nov. 29 - Oxford, UK - Academy
- Nov. 30 - Norwich, UK - Waterfront
It will be interesting to see if any other bands are added to the bill. It will also be interesting to see which of the 2 bands headline the tour. Shadows Fall are arguably some way from the height of their popularity that they achieved around the time of the War Within album in 2004. On the other hand, Five Finger Death Punch have racked up impressive album sales of their debut album, "The Way of The Fist", and had a very well received set at Download. Whichever one of them it is, one thing is for sure. I'm getting my tickets damn quick before they sell out!
